The following fee schedule applies to Professional Fiduciary and Care Management services provided by Bay Area Life Management. Fees are discussed in advance and outlined in a written service agreement.

Professional Fiduciary & Care Management Services

Hourly Rates

• Professional Fiduciary Services: $250.00 per hour
• Care Management Services: $250.00 per hour
• Travel Time (when applicable): $250.00 per hour
• Mileage: Current IRS standard mileage rate
• Postage, courier services, filing fees, parking, copying, and other direct expenses: Billed at actual cost

Billing

Professional services are billed in one-tenth (0.1) hour (6-minute) increments. Multiple related activities may be combined into a single time entry when appropriate.

Detailed invoices include the date of service, a description of services provided, time billed, and any applicable expenses.

Retainer

A minimum advance retainer of $500.00 may be required before services begin. The retainer is applied toward services rendered and replenished as needed.

Probate Administration

When serving as a Personal Representative (Executor or Administrator) of a California probate estate, compensation for ordinary services may be determined pursuant to the California Probate Code and, when applicable, is subject to court approval.

Current statutory compensation is:

• 4% of the first $100,000
• 3% of the next $100,000
• 2% of the next $800,000
• 1% of the next $9,000,000
• 0.5% of the next $15,000,000
• For estates exceeding $25,000,000, compensation is determined by the court.

Extraordinary services may be compensated separately as permitted by law and, when required, are subject to court approval.

Fee Disclosure

Fees may vary depending on the type of fiduciary appointment, governing legal documents, applicable law, court requirements, and the complexity of services provided. All fees and billing arrangements will be discussed before services begin and documented in a written service agreement.
